Founded by a collector who bought a fake once and swore it would never happen to a customer of his. That promise is still the whole business model.

Our story

Whispering Watches started in 2018 in a spare room in Denver, after our founder paid full price for a “Rolex” that turned out to be an expensive lesson in due diligence. Getting his money back took four months and a small claims court date.

He started buying and reselling watches for friends, then friends of friends, with one non-negotiable step added to every sale: an independent watchmaker verifies the piece before it ever gets listed. Word travelled faster than the inventory did.

Today we work with a small team of certified watchmakers and a network of vetted sources across the US to bring in watches that have already been someone’s daily companion — and are ready to be someone else’s.

Make buying a pre-owned luxury watch feel as safe as buying it new — without the waitlist, and without the markup.

• No-pressure buying — Ask us anything before you buy: reference history, service records, comparable sales. We’d rather answer questions than lose a return.
